Step 1:If you want to install Leopard on your Mac, insert the disk image you have downloaded. It is recommended to use a USB drive. Yes, that's right. You have to use a USB drive because Apple's Boot Camp only supports the G5 Intel Macs. If you have any of the G4 Macs, you need to use a USB drive for Mac OS X installation. So, you need to make sure that the drive you have inserted is bootable.
Step 3:After the installation process finishes, you will be asked to restart your Mac. You can do this by holding the power button and the option button simultaneously. This will turn off your Mac and will also make it restart to the OS installation screen.
FYI, using Disk Warrior to create the bootable DVD only works for Leopard. Tiger can't be saved to a DVD with the same data. It appears that Disk Warrior does not support Tiger. The older 10.5 Tiger tool does, but it only works on Leopard and later systems. The newer 10.5 Leopard tool only works for Leopard, so you can't use it to create 10.4 disk images. However, there are many other ways to make bootable dvds, flash drives, or optical discs. You can also build custom images , but that's a whole different subject. Hope this is helpful. :-)
I ran Disk Warrior on a 10.5 disk, that contained the 10.4 tiger operating system. It created a bootable disc without problems, and was able to boot the 10.4 tiger operating system on a 10.5 PowerPC iBook. The 10.5 Tiger operating system could not be created. It seemed to be a problem with the 10.5 Tiger operating system, or with Disk Warrior, not the iBook.
You can use the DMG2ISO utility to convert the Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger ISO image files to a.dmg file. This.dmg file can then be used by the ISO2Burn utility to create a bootable DVD or USB.
