The SSTT visualizer loads the 3D object models as soon as the visualizer is opened. The models are rendered in real time with a moving camera and animated to demonstrate the capabilities of the SSTT library. Current video formats supported by the visualizer are AVI, FLV and MP4. Video formats not supported by the visualizer are unsupported.

The visualizer allows for swapping between the visualizer mode and the render mode. The visualizer mode renders the models in real time. The visualizer mode does not support changing the view of the models.

The SSTT visualizer opens the SSTT visualizer by clicking a button on the main window. The visualizer works on Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.

The SSTT visualizer is released with the SSTT library. The visualizer is available with Winamp 5.6 but is also usable with other players such as the VLC media player.

The visualizer supports raycasting and raycasting only. The visualizer does not support any other types of rays. It is possible to view the models from a fixed angle or from all possible angles.

The visualizer uses OpenGL to render the models. The models are rendered to the screen with a background scene and the models are not distorted or scaled. Displacements, rotations and translations are all possible.

Note: The visuals in the visualization do not directly correlate to the waveform display found on most DACs. You need to use one of the visualization controls to modify the level of the visualization.

This feature automatically displays a visual waveform of audio. This visualization is also available in the Winamp 5.6.5 version of Windows Media Player. It is an optional feature and you can turn it off by clicking Visualize Audio under the Visualization tab.

With the introduction of Per Pixel Shader support in MilkDrop 2, several developers created plugins for the Winamp Media Player to improve image quality by rendering the pixel shader effects directly to the screen. A number of these plugins have been released and continue to be updated. The number of plugins for the Winamp Media Player is currently in the double digits. A plugin called MSXML4Dyn from Spinmaster has been recently released.
